Mark Khorsandi, D.O., founded the Migraine Relief Center in order to provide migraine sufferers comprehensive treatment utilizing patient specific options to alleviate the effects of migraines.
Mark Khorsandi graduated from Boston College, and then went on to earn his doctorate at Nova Southeastern University. After completing his residency and surgical training in Philadelphia and New York City, Dr. Khorsandi advanced to a fellowship in hand and microvascular surgery. There, he worked under world-renowned hand surgeon Charles P. Melone, M.D., treating sports-related hand injuries.
While practicing hand surgery in Houston, Dr. Khorsandi performed thousands of endoscopic nerve decompressions. These hand surgeries employed micro-surgical techniques that were being studied for use in the treatment of migraines. Bahman Guyuron, a pioneer in this migraine treatment method, trained Dr. Khorsandi in adapting these techniques for migraine surgeries.
Dr. Khorsandi has been active in establishing standards and developing techniques in the advancing field of migraine surgery. In 2011, he founded the Migraine Relief Center, with his brother, Christopher. Dr. Khorsandi’s high ratings by patients on physician-ranking websites earned him the 2015 Patient’s Choice Award by Vitals.com. Mark Khorsandi treats patients in Dallas-Fort Worth and Houston.
